Housing Chronicles hits 8 million headline views

I'm very pleased to report that traffic to The Housing Chronicles Blog has continued to increase, especially over the last month. At the same time, our syndication deal with BlogBurst since February of 2008 has helped us to recently reach the 8 million headline view, mostly on the Reuters website.

Housing Chronicles hits 7 million headline views

Today The Housing Chronicles Blog passed the 7-million headline view mark since first signing up with the BlogBurst service in February of 2008, most of which were on websites produced by the Reuters news service:

In addition, due to a huge traffic spike this week resulting from a post back in February on the likelihood of an RTC-type bailout, the blog nabbed the #1 spot for the top real estate-related site for TopBlogArea.com.

Many thanks to our readers, and please keep coming back!

Housing Chronicles passes 5 million headline views, mostly via Reuters

Since signing up with the BlogBurst service in early February of this year, the Housing Chronicles blog has just passed the 5-million headline view mark. Most of these posts have been picked up by the Reuters.com website, followed by the Chicago Sun-Times, Fox Business News and the Wall Street Journal.

Through another service called Sphere, posts have also appeared on websites for The Washington Post, CNN.com as well as the Wall Street Journal. While it's difficult to predict the future of blogs, the success of these syndicators as well as the large investment in blog networks by groups like Forbes.com and InmanNews.com tells me that blogs are definitely becoming growing members of traditional online media.

Housing Chronicles growth escalates through BlogBurst, hits 3 million headline views

Last Monday I announced that Housing Chronicles had hit 2 million headline views on BlogBurst subscriber sites such as Reuters, Fox Business News, The Wall Street Journal and the Chicago Sun-Times after originally signing up on Feb. 5th, 2008. Just one week later, that total has risen to 3 million headline views, proving to me that growth in blogging awareness is something that must built on itself over a period of time.

But the growth has also been exponential: although it took about a month to hit 1 million headline views, it only took 2 weeks to hit 2 million headline views, and another week to total 3 million. Look for more syndicated blogs to come to your local newspaper websites, as that's the next area that syndicators are targeting: although some sites such as LATimes.com still only feature their own staff bloggers, I'd expect that change sometime this year.

Housing Chronicles Hits 2 Million Headline Views on Reuters, Fox Business News and other media websites

If you're a fellow blogger and are interested in creating some great new promotional opportunities for your site, I'd highly recommend checking into the syndication service BlogBurst. About 10 days ago, I announced that Housing Chronicles had recently hit 1 million headline views on BlogBurst subscriber sites such as Reuters, Fox Business News, The Wall Street Journal and the Chicago Sun-Times after originally signing up on Feb. 5th, 2008.

Although it took about a month to hit 1 million views, it took only another 2 weeks to hit 2 million headline views, which creates powerful brand awareness and also brings in new readers to the site every day. With many media sites now including blog posts from outside their own editorial walls, an entire new universe is opening up to bloggers on a variety of timely subjects. And if your hometown newspaper or favorite media website hasn't done this -- suggest it! You can only improve your understanding of the issues with as wide a variety of opinions as possible.
