Karatz and Mozilo, got the gold mine and laughing all the way to the bank. Its about time they got screwed as they are normally the one screwing the buyer of the homes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1864815735750729117.post-31528235209420342642008-10-06T08:52:00.000-07:002008-10-06T08:52:00.000-07:00What I think is the major issue here- and it's not...What I think is the major issue here- and it's not just the building industry, but something that is pervasive in our entire economy- and we're all paying the price for it- is a) the unbelievably GREEDY behavior that so many of these builders exhibited in the last few years, and b) the fact that there are no consequences in place for the top executives. Mark Matthews has started a company in Memphis that goes in and completes the homes that were foreclosed upon in the first place. Mike Matthews went on to start another development in Nashville, TN. These guys made millions-declared bankruptcy- were allowed to keep their money AND their licensure, and start over- whereas the residents of their communities are out thousands of dollars, with an uncertain future. What's wrong with this picture?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
